简介
Bringing their fine homebrew of 60s-inspired indie pop to the world at large, Melbourne five-piece Into the Woods are set to release their debut album Goldentone on November 12th. Recorded with producer/engineer Neil Thomason (Wagons, Crayon Fields) at Head Gap studios, Goldentone showcases the band’s pop sensibilities and direct approach to songwriting, all swathed in the tones of vintage amps, organs and guitars. There’s plenty on Goldentone to keep you entertained – as well as the bright pop of lead single ‘Black Dog’, you can get funky with the rhythm and hooks of second single ‘A Cautionary Tale’, the 60s guitar-fuelled mayhem of ‘Kaleidoscope Kids’, and ‘I Mark the Day’s Zombies-inspired psych-rock. Oh, and there’s a special appearance by Melbourne songstress Ainslie Wills, who lends her vocals to jazz-lounge track ‘Morning Bird’. It’s quite lovely – you really should check it out.
