简介
Upon its inception EGH set out to defy the labels of Hardcore, metal, and punk, to bring a new level of energy to the heavy music genre. Formed in 1996 by Rob Cullin (Vocals & Lyrics), Chris Benetos (Bass & Vocals), and Steve Pettit (Guitars & Backing vocals), coming out of other projects –Rob from Setback, Chris from Fit of Anger & Outburst, Steve from D-mize and 25 ta Life- Each member brought a different musical prospective. In 1997 EGH recorded and released their self-titled demo, produced by Mike Dijan (Crown of Thornz, Breakdown), as well as a split release in with BILLY CLUB SANDWICH on Back ta Basics records. This attention lead to releases such as a split release with Maryland’s STRONG INTENTION, in 1998 on fistFight Records, as well as a release in 1999 on guillotine records, with COLD FRONT, A Hardcore 2000- compilation (Century Media), as well as The Spirit Lives On: A Tribute to Raybeez and Warzone Tribute-compilation (Hatecore Records). A slight leave from Rob Cullin on vocals, Kenny EYE 2 EYE filled in and recorded a song for a compilation (hate core records) called, a breed apart, on the outside looking in.The song was, bringing it back.In 2000 with rob back on vocals and the addition of a rythm guitarist, Tomoki, from the band DYING GRACE out of japan, EGH recorded and released their first full length, self-produced, self-distributed “The Dark Seeds of Man”.These releases helped gain the attention of international and national record labels. Shortly there after drummer Pauly Antignani amicably resigned to join the ranks of SWORN ENEMY. EGH quickly filled the position with replacement, Tom Murphy, from the band FIVE MINUTE MAJOR. EGH then used American and Japanese profits from “Dark Seeds” to fund their European tours. They then ended up in 2002 with an additional vocalist, Jessica Pimentel, who was brought in to do one song, then ended up joining the band. With this line up they recorded a three way split entitled BROTHERHOOD(pitbull japan). The cd included bands, SETTLE THE SCORE(germany), and T.J. MAXX(japan), each band recorded 3 songs for this cd. With the Brotherhood cd completed in 2003, all three bands toured Japan for a successful 10 city tour. When EGH arrived back they released a cd called, DEMO DAZE(Reality Records) in 2004 , a cd that would make available all of there recent recordings from the 7 inches and demo tapes, plus live versions of some of the songs off the brotherhood split. Times got difficult and Jessica and Tomoki left the band for good. Another chapter has taken place, as Everybody Gets Hurt releases their second full length album in 2007. That album is called IT IS WHAT IT IS (born to lose live to win). It finds the band with it's strongest line up to date: Rob Cullin on vocals , Chris Beee on bass and vocals , Little Gregg on guitars , and Mr. Tom Murphy on the drums. This album shows a more mature side of EGH and proves that they are one of the best in the hardcore scene today. E.G.H. had the privilage to work with NANDO REDRUM guitarist from the band IRATE, PHIL VIBES vocalist from IRATE, MARTIN the vocalist from BILLY CLUB SANDWICH, RADIA vocalist from BITCHSLAP, STEVE PETIT former guitarist of E.G.H., HARLEY FLANNAGAN from the CRO-MAGS / HARLEY'S WAR, JESSICA PIMENTEL former E.G.H. vocalist, and finally GOAT from MURPHY'S LAW / MERAUDER / SUBZERO / JOE COFFEE all played on this album, and they all helped make this album a great success. There's 12 brand new tracks to listen to, with a hidden bonus track coming in at 4:20.
