He was reared by those who loved him and befriended by those that feared him. His life was full of small town gossip, country fairs, Amish at the 7-11, and Friday night football. His friends intoxicated him with laughter and lust for life. A mentor emerged from the corn rows and chicken coops. A musician who knew all the chords of life gave Vekstar his start. He learned much from this mentor before Vekstar moved southward into the great unknown. There he found love and new friends. He found education. Destiny found him. He began experimentation and implementation of original chords, rhythms, and ideas. He pulled inspiration from the people and music that surrounded him. Vekstar has grown into the man you hear in his music. He is a folk-rooted rocker with a penchant for writing songs that seep into the subconscious.
