简介
Daybreakers began as the idea of capturing elements from bands across the many subgenres of "Hardcore & Metalcore" and blending them all to make the perfect combination. These bands included For the Fallen Dreams, Lovers Grave, The Ghost Inside and Bury Your Dead (to name a few). So in December of 2011, before the idea of performing these songs with a band, guitarist Luke O'Toole wrote the first Daybreakers song (now titled "Love"). As time past, he began to dedicate more and more of his time to writing these Daybreakers songs, and eventually shared his ideas with various people around the Brisbane hardcore and metalcore scene. A few people showed an interest in learning and performing these songs, including current drummer Lachlan Currie and bassist Macka Saunders. After around a year of jamming, writing, learning and practicing, the group finally had the songs down. After a few lineup changes, the group decided on the name of "Daybreakers" and became official, with new guitarist Taylor Imhoff and vocalist Mitch Stiefler. The band set out to record their debut EP in July of 2013. After 2 weeks of strenuous recording, the EP was tracked and ready to be mixed and mastered by Dan Field at Studio 454 in Brisbane, Queensland. This brings us to the present day, as Daybreakers are ready to share their musical creations with you.
