The Genders have gone back to their roots with a new album of 60's inspired rocknroll, psychedelia and garage rock. The first single is "I'm A Freak". A garage rock anthem that pays homage to the "Nuggets" tunes from the 1960's. "Only Got Eyes For You" is a Stones-inspired rock n roller to get your juices flowing. "Dumb Yourself Down" will get you high on surf guitar riffs and hooks galore "Happiness Don't Live Here No More" is a country-tinged ballad about an impending breakup, with a hopeful look at the future. "Hate To Be In Love" has a 70's boogie-rock feel a-la Bad Company meets Bon Scott era AC/DC "Take Me To The Freeway" takes you back to garage rock heaven with a tasty guitar jam and duel lead vocals "Company Man" is a lofi psychedelic blues about selling your soul to the Devil of Capitalism "Love And Peace" closes the album in Beatles-esque style, with lyrics about coping with society's downward spiral into dystopia and a longing for simpler, happier times.
