This album is called solos and stories for a reason: Each song is a story. Perry's Lake is about a real pirate who claimed ownership of a lake in Northern Michigan and robbed freighters out of a row-boat. If I Were King is about a boy who lost his father in the Punic Wars and had to become dad from then on. Ship of Souls is a fun song about the many ghost ships that might be sailing out in the Lake Michigan Triangle. North Winds is a slower song about the changing of the seasons, and I really wrote it as a testament to how weird the weather in Michigan can be! Corner of Main Street is all about a summer in 2016 when the heat was so constant that we all swore we would melt. The Illuminati Song wasn't supposed to exist, actually. My brother, Carter Zemora, and I all wrote it in my basement, and we recorded it about two minutes after we wrote it! The tracks are recorded all over, from in a basement studio, to a practice room at Hillsdale College, to an old farmhouse in Port Oneida Michigan. A year of work is in this album, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
