简介
Rapping since recess on playgrounds of Crayton Middle School, Big Redd is a gospel rap artist, hailing out Columbia, South Carolina. A member of the Wake Forest University Class of 2000, Big Redd was a freshman Pre-Med biology major when he received Jesus as his Lord. God told Big Redd that He was going to use him to communicate The Gospel to the world; accordingly, Redd prayerfully changed his major to Communication so that he could become knowledgeable and skilled at transmitting messages to diverse audiences. From 2005 to 2011, Big Redd was the lead host of “Single and Saved,” a call-in radio show on the Glory Communications (SC) FM Gospel Network dedicated to empowering singles to live victorious lives through biblical principles. In November 2011, Big Redd released his debut single “Different Now,” an upbeat anthem about the new life that becomes available once one enters into relationship with Jesus Christ. After rave reviews, the single has since been added to rotation on seven FM Gospel stations in the Southeast, in addition to internet radio stations West Coast Fiya Radio, CJB Radio, and 2011 Stellar Award Internet Radio Station of the Year, Yes Lord Radio. Big Redd has released his debut EP “All Around The World,” following his performance at the 2012 Stellar Award Urban Soul Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee alongside Grammy-nominated artists Canton Jones, Daʼ T.R.U.T.H., and more, and his performance alongside Grammy Award winning artist Kierra “Kiki” Sheard at the 7th Annual Gospelfest in Winston-Salem, NC. He resides in Columbia, SC with his lovely bride Tisha and their son Benjamin, and looks forward to making music that will change generations–one listener at a time.
