SEAN 1 As a solo R&B artist, my influences range from Donny Hathaway to Dru Hill, and from the smooth sounds of Charlie Wilson of the Gap Band to the soulful roughness of Jodeci. My musical style also consists of characteristics derived from such known Hip Hop artists as Diddy and Nelly. As I began singing in church at age five, I cannot forget to mention the several gospel artists which have given impact to my style (specifically in regard to vocal); two of my favorites are Fred Hammond of Commissioned and John P. Key. Together with my natural talent and love for music, these influences have helped to create my unique sound. Although I have given credit where it is deserved, all of my music (vocals, writing, arrangements, as well as production,) is completely original. As I have indicated, I began singing in church at a very young age. Soon after, I started performing locally (Louisville, KY) at functions such as funerals, weddings, and talent shows. I continued to broaden my experience at special events which included the Gospel and R&B Expos (both in which I received first place recognition), as well as homecomings, fashion shows, summer festivals, and county fairs. Nationally, I participated in the New York International Music Festival, hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada; there too, I received top recognition in the R&B category. I was one of few chosen to showcase my talent beyond the schedule. I have performed on several occasions in smaller-scale club venues as well. My stage performances have provided me with the confidence that I need to possess in order to be a successful entertainer. In the future I would like to be known as one of the best singers, songwriters, and performers in the business. Throughout my life I have sought to establish connections with individuals whom either strive for the success I am working towards with similar work ethic and/or have achieved a higher status within the music industry. Most recently, I have completed my sixteen-song project with several tracks mixed by Grammy award winning mixer/engineer/producer Bob Rosa. I have newly founded and represent as Co CEO of Self Made Millionaire Entertainment. From the moment I realized that I aspire to be within the industry, I have been entirely devoted to my music. I spend the majority of my time writing and recording new music, as the studio is my second home. I also enjoy working out and spending time with my family and friends.
