Simon was born in Gombe[now Gombe state]of old Bauchi state in Nigeria to Mr Emmanuel Ayantola storekeeper and later salesman for G.B Ollivant,a subsidiary of U.A.C.His mother was a school teacher and chorister.They later moved to Jos in Plateau State on transfer where he had formal education.His major influences are soul artists whom he grew up listening to.He draws inspiration from all genres though.Simon believes good music is good music.Adult contemporary is Simon\'s genre,something he got into in his teens and adopted right after.Though trained as photographer,music has always been his first love and being a singer,his passion.
