“Va en Serio” is the Eslabon´s second CD. The listener will find several kinds of styles including Rock, Pop, Ballad and Ska. For this project they chose Javier Montiel, a Grammy nominated classical musician as their producer. This albums represents more than two years of work, they chose from around 25 songs together with the producer. An epic battle began from there, Montiel –the producer- demanded much of the band to obtain perfect tuning in vocals and instruments, something achivied succsesfuly in all the tracks. Secondly, Eslabon decide to evolve from their last album to this one. In their own words: “No more old stylish Rock ans Roll from the 60´s, we need something that the youngsters would find more familiar”. One can still percieve Eslabon´s influences here: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, nevertehless one can also find something new, the gruop´s sound is more defined and tends to reach certain uniqueness. The melodies are catchy and the lyrics go straight to the point, no abuse of metaphors or conceptual languange. A highly recommended CD for Spanish speakers who like artists as: Soda Stereo, Enanitos Verdes, Hombres G or Fobia.
