On the Follow Through is the first non-vinyl release for The Derby City Project. With music rooted in Louisville’s melodic hardcore scene, the eleven cuts play like a concept album. The project is the creation of Brandon K. Shell (lead vocals and bass) and features a variety of talented musicians. Recorded in Louisville Kentucky and mastered by Mass Giorgini --whose credits include albums for Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Anti Flag, One Man Army, Screeching Weasel-- this is a punk album that brings together finger-tapping bass technique (‘High Tide’, ‘Balance and Mass’), djembe drum solos (‘Outro’), impassioned lyrics, blazing guitar work, and even a juiced up rendition of the iconic hippie classic ‘San Francisco’. The track 'Reminiscence' has been featured on multiple compilation albums as well as the soundtrack of the 2009 AXE video game ‘State of Skate’' by game developer HitPoint.
