简介
I still remember my first experience seeing a Broadway show. It changed my life forever. I was in 9th grade when my amazing high school music and drama teacher, Ms. Jessica Jenkins, took a group of us from our small community of Green River, Utah, to see the national touring production of “Les Misérables” at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City. Up to that point, I had developed a love for musical theatre through listening to cast recordings and participating in the school musical, but nothing could have prepared me for what I experienced in the theater that afternoon. The actors’ incredible talents and their ability to move me as they told the beautiful story of “Les Misérables” totally blew me away. This single experience had ignited a flame within me that would eventually grow into the life-changing decision to pursue a career as a Broadway performer. Since making that choice, I’m grateful to say I have been fortunate enough to fulfill that dream and to perform professionally throughout the United States and in other countries around the world. This has included performing with the Broadway tours of “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Les Misérables,” and having the privilege to work with a number of my Broadway heroes. I’ve loved every minute of this crazy career and hope this is just the beginning. That’s why I’m excited to share with you “Some Enchanted Evening,” a mix of timeless and contemporary Broadway songs that tell the familiar story of the joys and challenges that love brings. These beautiful, sometimes humorous, always memorable songs take us on a musical journey through the thrill of finding true love, the disappointment of heartbreak, the determination to overcome challenges, and the discovery of joy in life’s most important relationship: husband and wife. It is my sincere hope that this album will not only entertain, but will also be a source of hope and inspiration because of the messages these songs contain about what matters most in life. And who knows? Maybe you’ll feel a little of that passion for musical theatre that I felt all those years ago.
