This album is a tribute to W. Jones, a bass player extraordinaire, who met his untimely death from brain cancer in July 2014. The tunes on this CD represent a collection of previously unreleased music performed by Textbook Blues as well as an unrecorded original by Jones (Funky Kitty), and three other tunes recorded after his death by friends who admired his musical skills and cherished his friendship. The music on this CD is a combination of traditional blues blended with funk and rock and features powerful female and male vocalists and includes musicians from Bozeman, Montana and Las Vegas, Nevada. The musicians on this album have been playing for most of their lives and are dedicated to their music.
