With Quiet Hillside, Daren Keck has crafted an ambient album that features acoustic piano backed by subtle synthesized textures reminiscent of the great ambient composers Brian Eno and Harold Budd. He recorded the album while on retreat in a valley in southern Oregon. According to Daren, the music is meant to convey the highs and lows of solitude, the beauty of the valley, and the peace he felt while being in that place. Keck’s cinematic and calming approach in composition makes the album perfect backing for film or for listening to with a cup of coffee on a breezy night. Quiet Hillside was produced by Daren Keck and Dave Luxton.
