Stockholm, Sweden. The summer of 2012. Cold beer was flowing like always on a nice early weekend evening. Baroness was playing in a local club and by chance two music dorks became friends and decided to put together a rock'n'roll band. Plain ol' no frills rock. Music that should be fun to play and to watch/listen to live. And that was the start of what became Besra.

Besra are heavily influenced by simple two-chord punk, flamboyant black metal, shoegaze pop, introvert seventies prog, grunge and much more. All of this brewed with a hey-it-should-be-simple-and-fun attitude has been the foundation when writing songs.
