简介
Chicago based Singer/Songwriter Gina Gonzalez is no stranger to the music scene. She's been working in music for over 10 years and her experience is beginning to pay off. Gina has worked with different musicians from across the country, including opening for Lonnie Brooks. Gina has performed at some of the best known venues, including the House of Blues Orlando and Chicago. She has lent her vocal talent to four albums by various artists including Signing Einstein, in which she was featured. In 1993, Gina moved to Boston, Massachusetts and began working with a Boston based band, singing back-up and some lead vocals. After two years of playing around Boston, Gina went back to her hometown outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While living in Milwaukee, Gina discovered her love for writing music. In 1997, she decided to move to Chicago, and enroll in Columbia College. She majored in Public Relations and felt that it was a way to sharpen her skills both as a writer and an entertainer. After graduating in 2002, Gina devoted her time strictly to performing. Gina began playing solo shows in and around Chicago. She released her first solo album in 2001 and got a great response. Her drive to make a name for herself continued and by the following year she was playing regular weekly performances, as well as opening up for some of Chicago's best known local bands. Gina still continues to rise as a solo performer, concentrating on her songwriting. She has been featured on Chicago's very own 93 WXRT Local Anesthetic Capsule and just released her second album. As an accomplished artist, Gina feels fortunate enough to be able to do something that she loves, and also to share her music with others. She is a member of the LT. Dan Band featuring actor/director Gary Sinise and travels in the U.S. and overseas performing shows coordinated by the USO (United Service Organization). Her original song, "A Letter Home" inspired by her USO tours and written for the troops, is being played on radio stations across the country. As a performer she is able to communicate with her audience, not just play for them. Gina Gonzalez has got the voice and presence to make you feel the music, and she will leave you wanting just a little bit more...
