Welcome to season five of the Jazz Jousters sessions. After four years of non stop album releases we thought we'd take a few months time out to think and work out what we would do next this season. We decided attempt another Locations series since we are yet to take on some of the locations many of you have suggested via our updates pages and emails. So here we go... MJM would like to present Locations: USA, the vinyl and cassette edition as we continue to explore the sounds, influences and styles of Jazz music in different regions of the world. In this session we hear the result of each Jouster as they each chose one or more Jazz musicians from the United States and began to work with that sound and come up with an instrumental in their own style, just like in season four. However there was a twist, this time they were challenged to focus on Jazz between the years of 1960 to 1969. See what you think of the outcome.
