Dan Golden is a classical guitarist with a Jazz background playing in the style of Charlie Byrd and the tradition of Flamenco Rumba. Major influences are the Gypsy Kings, Cessaria Evora (Sodade) and Pink Martini (Ninna Nanna). Other style influences are traditional songs from the Andes (Pampa Urima, San Juaquito), Caribean songs (Panama, Coconut Woman, Pa 'Piye Sou Do M'), songs of North Africa (Mi Nada Um Ca Tem), Brazilian Choro, Samba and Bossa (Manha de Carnaval) and Argentina. These are songs of struggle, hope and celebration. These are songs of the people.
