HEAD DOWN I wrote this song while on my first tour as a drum tech. I was with Melissa Ethridge in Raleigh, North Carolina, when the whole song hit me over a ten minute period, and it was written. The song didn't truly come alive until I put in the hands of a brilliant guitarist named Bill Lewis. While not on the final recording, he is for damn sure now in the band. LOL! As a writer, I am truly flattered to have had this experience. The idea was sparked at Sluggo Sound Studios when bass player/ engineer Al Griffy overlapped two drum loops that we had just recorded. This was another song that hit me out of the blue, and within a day it was written.
