“An Hour Before The Dawning” is a collection of traditional, and predominantly Scottish ballads, whose subject matter ranges through themes of (amongst others) sex, jealousy, infidelity, murder, revenge, blackmail and farming (there’s probably even one or two songs that cover all of them at once). Featuring Becka Wolfe on fiddle and background vocals, as well as a guest performance by Carolyn Anona Scott on 'The Fair Haired Lassie'. The album promises a natural, and at points, raw experience, which places the emphasis of it's performances firmly on the songs themselves.
