Sam, who began writing songs at the age of 8, has currently written over 300 songs. Her country/rock writing style and unique, powerful voice have led to many performance credits including playing at Loretta Lynn's Ranch; Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, Tootsie’s, 3rd and Lindsley, Whiskey Bent, and Two Old Hippies; the VIP Tent at the Tate and Lyle Amphitheater for a Travis Tritt concert; opening for Mindy Smith; numerous appearances in The Performing Writer Series at The Fillin' Station in Kingston Springs and at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge; playing Knoxville's Dogwood Arts Festival, Concert on the Square Series, and the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon; being a guest on the WDVX Blue Plate Special; as well as being selected for Decked Out (honoring female songwriters) at Loew's Vanderbilt Hotel and being invited to perform her own 2-hour solo acoustic concert as part of the Clayton Arts Center's Cozy Winter Nights Series, making her the youngest performer to be featured in any series at the Arts Center.
