简介

Please watch the video on YouTube Written by three award winning songwriters from California, Colorado, and Massachusetts, this song is in response to recent executive orders that would allow deportation of immigrants and prevent certain people from entering and leaving the United States. Karen Drucker, JD Martin, and David Roth got together just before the 12th annual Positive Music Festival in Tampa Florida in February, 2017. The subject was on all their minds and the song came together over two days and much effort to approach a complicated subject with heart and humanity. www.KarenDrucker.com www.Garrett-Martin.com www.DavidRothMusic.com Proceeds from this song will benefit organizations which work on behalf of immigrants and refugees. Video production was gifted to us by Sherry Hursey and Rick Cowling of TOtl Entertainment.com. Karen Drucker Bio.... Very few people can say that they have been a singing mermaid, a singing casket, and was literally “elevator music” when she was hired to sing and play piano in a moving elevator.  Meet Karen Drucker. Karen has recorded 19 CDs of her original inspirational music, and is the author of an inspirational book, “Let Go of the Shore: Stories and Songs That Set the Spirit Free.”  Among her many accomplishments, she has been a professional comedienne, led her own band for corporate events, and has been the music director of New Thought Churches, as well as music director and “ music weaver” for many spiritual conferences and retreats. Karen has been honored with an Honorary Doctorate of Music for her work within the Religious Science Community, and a “Grace Note” award for her work within the Unity Movement. In following her passion, Karen sings, speaks and leads workshops at women's retreats, mind-body & health conferences, and various churches around the country.  Karen Drucker has been called “a master of communicating presence and spirituality through music.”  She loves making music, making a difference, and touching hearts. www.karendrucker.com JD Martin Bio.... JD Martin is a multi award-winning singer songwriter who lives in the mountains of Colorado with his wife and musical partner, Jan Garrett. JD grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, gradually learning to sing all four parts of the a cappella music sung in his father’s church. He studied classical piano, got a degree in music, and eventually moved to Aspen, Colorado in the early ‘70’s to play in a traveling band. JD has written 5 Number One and 10 Top Ten singles. His songs have been recorded by such luminaries as Reba McEntire, the Oak Ridge Boys, Peter Cetera, BJ Thomas, Terri Clark and Kathy Mattea. In 2001, after 20 years of writing for other artists in Nashville and Los Angeles, he released his solo CD, One Heart, an inspired collection of original songs featuring his soulful voice and a musical style ranging somewhere between the best of Marc Cohen and Michael McDonald. Since 1995, JD and Jan have collaborated on 7 CDs of original songs. The Positive Music Association has awarded their albums its seal of excellence, and they have won top honors from the Indie International Songwriting competition and the Positive Music Awards. They continue to write and record their music in their studio near Aspen, and are currently playing concerts around the country. www.Garrett-Martin.com David Roth Bio....
