Good News is the 4th studio album released by Minister Wes-E. "The objective was to make each song a newspaper headline", said Wes when asked about what to expect on this album. In Good News, Wes explores many of the issues he began to discuss in the America I'm Talking to You album and book. He discusses corporate greed, social inequality, and racial tension, while sprinkling in very introspective songs about relationships and spirituality. A particularly touching moment on the album is when he teams up with Nikeo Music recording artist Ish, WJV Music recording artist Ms. Jackie, and Author, CFP, and media personality Nicole B Simpson to offer a 9/11 tribute song entitled Survivor. He book ends the album nicely with a song entitled Destined for Greatness, which he admitted is a prelude for what's coming next. All throughout the album, you will find very solid production, and strong lyrical performance. It seems as if Wes has really found his niche in the genre of Urban Inspirational/Christian Rap. This is really a great album for anyone who is looking to hear substance over great melodies and beats. I'd also encourage you to listen to America I'm Talking to You and Upper Weside; both of which offer a breath of fresh air from typical rap music.
