Life is a Story, Michael Medina’s debut album, is a work born out of hearing, capturing, and sharing God’s message of hope and peace. Each song has been inspired by the stories of our lives and how they are all a piece of a greater story that God is telling. “I want to create music that connects humanity with their creator,” Michael says. “That means being honest about the beauty and the adversities that we all encounter, and most importantly the peace that God brings when we allow him into our lives.” The album’s title track “Life is a Story” embodies that message. All stories have a beginning and an end determined only by its author. Life (a story) is uniquely created to have a beginning and an end determined only by our Creator (the author). Addressing hard core realities of human vulnerabilities such as suicide, murder and abortion, "Life is a Story" passionately delivers the message that God is the author of our lives - we are not to end life in our time, whether it is ours or others. Directing us to our Author in times of despair, anger and fear - where we find Peace. Michael’s passion for music started at a young age and you can hear influences of the music he grew up with – from the classic rock guitar solos to the calm island and folk music vibes. These influences and his unique voice create a sound that is refreshing to contemporary Christian music. Michael shares his gift of music through music ministry at various churches and at a juvenile detention facility.
