This CD was recorded 'Live' at 'River Run 26' The Boogieman Band members have over 125 years combined experience performing at MajorEvents, Concerts, Festivals, Resorts and Casinos across the Southwest USA including Las Vegas' Orleans, Belagio, Sahara, MGM, House of Blues, the Hard Rock's Joint and Planet Hollywood to name only a few! The band members have played the haunts of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Eastern & Western Europe including London, Paris, Prague, Brussels, Dublin, Zurich, Bucharest, Stutgart, Amsterdam, etc.! They have entertained everyone from Royalty to Roughnecks and Bikers to Bankers and they hosted the West Coast largest bike rally; Laughlin, Nevada's Annual 'River Run' for the past 12 years at the Colorado Belle Casino. They helped create and hosted the Edgewater Casino's 'Blues & Brews Festival' for the last 11 years, as well as the annual Colorado River 'Chili Bikes & Blues Festival' held at the AVI Resort in Southern Nevada since 1999. John and the boys plyed opening weekend for Las Vegas' 'House of Blues' and were the first Blues Band to play 'The Joint' in L. V. Hard Rock Hotel, where they were asked to open for the Late, Great John Lee Hooker 5 times, as well as Taj Mahal and John Fogerty! They hosted Las Vegas' JuneFest' for 5 years and hosted the VH1 stage. They played 'Summerfest' in Milwaukee, WI. The Oakland Blues Festival, 'Beartooth M.C.Rally' in Montana, Las Vegas Bike Fest and hosted the Lee Canyon Blues Festivals for 8 years! The Boogieman Band were the houseband for 9 years at Las Vegas' World Renowned 'Sand Dollar Blues Lounge'! We're just getting started, says John, so when you're looking for that special touch for your event think 'The Boogieman Band' !!! John Earl was born in Lubbock, Texas. and raised in the Dallas / Fort Worth area where he learned the blues from the age of 7 by singing and playing harp along with his fellow workers while detailing used cars weekends on his fathers car lot. Immersed in hours and hours of AM radio filled with Nothing, but the Blues of Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Lil' Walter, John Lee Hooker, Lightnin' Hopkins,etc.! It was a long line of great Blues Men & Women singing their hearts out that marked John for life!!! That car lot became both his job and his school! Now, the Blues is his passion! John toured the USA playing juke joints from '65 till 74' doing shows with the likes of 'Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels' and 'Sam The Sham & The Pharoahs'. He moved to Amsterdam in 1974 and spent the next 12 years living in Europe and touring the Continent and the U.K. with the USO and friends! John moved to Las Vegas in the 80's and formed 'The Boogieman Band' in 1988. It's been 'Great Bluesin' ever since playing to lively crowds at Concerts, Casinos & Bike Runs!!! Chris Tofield defines Lead Guitar / Slide Guitar and Vocals and is from Hartford, CT.. He was the guitarist and musical director for the multi-award winning Blues vocalist 'Mighty Sam McClain' Chris has played and worked with the very best in the business from the Allman Brothers Band, Rick Derringer, Savoy Brown, James Montgomery, Warren Haynes, Ronnie Earl, and Big Mike Griffin to Toni Lynn Washington, and many others! Chris is considered as one of the best blues guitarists in the genre today! He is renouned as a songwriter, arranger and producer and is a "killer" vocalist! Chris toured extensively across North America, Europe, U.K., Scandinavia and the Caribbean, appearing at many prestigious blues festivals and venues. In 2004, Chris headlined two highly successful tours of Eastern Europe, including performing on Romanian national TV. Chris has performed with John & The BMB since 2005. Junior Brantley is originally from Milwaukee, WI. and is featured on vocals, piano, organ, synth. and keyboard bass. He founded 60's Hit recording Artists 'Junior & The Classics, Shorty, and he is the former keyboardist for the 'Grammy Award' winning, World renowned 'Fabulous Thunderbirds, and 'Roomful of Blues'. Junior toured and recorded with Jimmy Vaughan & Stevie Ray Vaughan and has played with Jon Paris, Albert Lee and many more name artists the World over! Bret Barnes Brett Barnes holds a Masters Degree in Percussion and a Bachelors in Music Education from The University of Arkansas. He has performed in all of the major hotels on the Las Vegas Strip as well as the House of Blues, the Joint at the Hard Rock hotel and the Grand ole Opry in Nashville. Brett has performed as a drummer percussionist with Ernie Watts, Bill Wattrous, Ray Stevens, Aretha Franklin, Rick Danko, and Andrea Bocelli. On the showroom stage Barnes is a First Call for many of the industry's top artists! He also works as a K-5 Music specialist for the Clark County School District and is President of the Nevada Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society. Brett Barnes is proud to play MRP Custom Drums, use Evans Drumheads and Vater drumsticks.
