These four highly capable lyricists decided long ago to keep their collective subject matter away from the introspective side. Often tongue-in-cheek and raunchy, SP members Slacker Pad Kev, Rev, DJ Jonimal, and XL Middleton deliver the kind of content not suitable for your family picnic. A typical song from the Pad will include references to drunken revelry, one night stands, and an off-kilter, defiant pride in living the "funemployed" Slacker lifestyle. Those who live their lives "straight edged" are forewarned to either avoid the Slacker Pad sound, or use it to live through vicariously! Now poised to release their first group LP, this self-titled effort was largely produced by group member XL Middleton, who has built a strong fanbase as a solo artist in the West Coast rap & funk scenes.
