Eye Did Not Die has the abrasiveness of early Nine Inch Nails, mixed with the melancholy of Joy Division. A hard hitting, dark wave of frequencies, communicating through one vessel, with multiple personas. This is unlike most music you hear today. Cookie cutter perfection is not the name of the game with Eye Did Not Die. Traditional song structure is there, but not accompanied by over-analyzing, pitch perfect, perfection. With this band (which is really just one guy) you get raw, pure, emotion. A lot of the takes (recordings) used on the album are one take performances, or improvised lyrical sessions. Capturing the moment is more important then getting a pitch perfect, robotic performance recorded. It's about taking a glimpse into the mind of another human being, who is not perfect in any way, shape, or manner. Therefore the music is not "perfect"...it's real! No fakery required. No B.S. here. Just one imperfect human, trying to find his place in all of this chaos.
