简介
“ Inspirational, spiritually elevating and hypnotic..Her distinctive, often thrilling vocals possess a transcendental quality that is ideally to.. the uplifting nature of the lyrics.. the sense of exoticism ( and even sublime eroticism) prevails throughout” Graham Reid, NZ Herald. Jyosna La Trobe is an artist who has covered many styles of music over the past decade, from the experimental women’s group Turiiya in the eighties to the incorporation of exquisite Indian melodies in her later work. In her previous album “Magnificence” JYosna explores a wide range of emotions, from the grandiose dance-pop of “Don’t Forget My Love” to the down beat mood of “Pillars of Faith”. Elsewhere Jyosna comes across as a mighty choir in “Longon for You” and as a poetic story-teller in the elegant minimalism of “In My Deepest Hour” CB. In “Reddish Blossom”, her music has been stripped back to the raw beauty of the haunting melodies written by the prolific composer and philosopher Sri Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar and eternally etched into our hearts and souls. In this “album of love” there are only layers of soaring vocals, multiple guitar riffs reminding one of classical melodies, and subtle keyboard sounds of Christopher Banks, forming pure, healing mysticism in sound and motion.
