This is my 5th CD and the 3rd CD for The Alan Storeygard Trio. It has a wide variety of music on it and some new directions for us. It has jazz, blues, some vocals I've written, two classical arrangements, a spoken-word piece, a rock band piece, and a jazz duet where I'm playing both parts. My first CD "Church Jazz," (solo piano), was released in 2001 and was a winner in jazz piano composition in the 2002 IBLA Grand Prize Piano and Voice Competition in Ragusa, Sicily. The second CD, "Just Havin' Fun (piano trio)," was released in 2006, and the third CD, "Third Time's a Charm," (piano trio), was released in 2010. Ramsey Lewis and Dave Brubeck are my favorite pianists. They have influenced me more than any other musicians. Sadly, Dave Brubeck died in 2012. Two pieces on this CD are tributes to him. The jazz duet is in the style of Ramsey Lewis. Over the years I have met and performed with some wonderful musicians. Many of them have collaborated with me on this project. I'm grateful to all of them. I hope there is something for everyone on this CD. Alan Storeygard
