简介
Tablets: Volume 2 KONEKO is a project started by Joey Koneko in the year 2000. The music is a frenzied mix of lullabies, noise, punk rock, and soul. The project was started when Joey Koneko began recording songs on his 4 track in a cold basement. Between 2002-2005, Koneko performed within the New York club scene. After taking a hiatus, he released Volume 1 of a two part album entitled 'Tablets: Volume 1' on Nov. 1 2010. The music blends exuberant, as well as crooning harmonies with haute quality emotional, yet danceable punk/soul/lullabies/noise, to create a modern, at times shamanic experience. The lyrical subjects explore intimately emotional, political, and dreamlike landscapes [a winkle in time of sorts, between the turn of the century...night crawling the french quarter, to ancient shamanic rituals to a sundry array of future revolutions and fairy tales] while deconstructing and critiquing modern culture. All delivered in an artistic yet accessible package. Tablets Vol.1 and 2 represent the sub-conscious, it is a collection of noise, hopes, nightmares and lullabies. It is unconscious.
