Madtone resides in South London and 'Dark Dread' was originally released on a limited seven inch single (330 only pressed) on Blossoms Kitchen Records in 2006. The track is a combination of all his musical influences 1970's Dub, Jah Wobble, Holger Czukay, New Order, Throbbing Gristle combined with assorted noises culled from years of taping off the radio. 'Dark Dread' is a bass heavy monster. Its deep, dark and full of suprises. The darker side of dub perhaps? The single had love from DJ's including Rob Da Bank, Bocca 45, Andy Smith (Portishead), Rob Smith (Smith & Mighty), John Carter, Pressure Drop, Nick Weston and Nick Luscombe.
