‘Fix Yourself, Not The World’, shows a true sonic development. Whilst still an indie guitar band at heart, The Wombats have produced a genre-bending, modern-sounding record with a boundary-pushing approach to production and arrangement.

The album’s lyrical content and song titles remain in the whimsical style the band has become known for and yet are thought-provoking and beg the listener to look below the surface. In Murph's words ‘Fix Yourself, Not The World’ is a title reflecting the idea that “you should only point the finger outwards as much as you’re willing to point the finger inwards at yourself”.
