简介
'Now and Then' is the seminal, ground-breaking second album by the Philadelphia based 90’s Indie Rock band 'The Peace'. Recorded at The New Pit Annex Roving Mobile Psychedelic Recording Studio in South Philadelphia in late 1994 and early 1995, the album presents the band at their creative peak. With all four members working as a unit, contributing ideas and helping to craft and record near flawless tunes, one can safely say that there isn’t a bad song to be found in the lot. ‘Now and Then’ contains 'Daydream', which is arguably their most recognized song, the one that essentially defined the band’s identity. The album also contains the childhood evoking reminiscences of the rock 'n roll-like 'So Thank You', the Beach Boys comparable harmonies of the masterfully written love song 'After All These Years', the Beatle-esque sounds of ‘Dear John’ and ‘Without Your Love’ and the up-tempo, 90's style riff based rollicking tunes: 'So Far Away' and ‘Leave it Behind’. This album took the Philadelphia area band to new heights in their short alt-rock career, capturing a moment in time in the 90’s rock scene. As with all recordings by the Peace, the band urges following as a listening guideline: "This recording emphasizes full dimensional stereophonic sound: To Achieve optimum stereo effect: USE HEADPHONES!"
