This young and dynamic duo from boogie down Stockholm is about to blow up big time! Up Hygh aka Pure-P and Rick Skizzo just turned 20 years, but listening to their debut album that's really hard to believe. With influences ranging from freaky Detroit hip hop, p-funk, r&b and reggae you could easily be fooled that this is the next big thing from any of the big American hip hop labels (watch your back Neptunes!). Head hunted by rhythm genius Damon Frost from Hearin' Aid, Up Hygh got their skills refined and it looks like there is an order of succession to the throne. These young prodigies have now developed a unique and soulful sound that can measure up to any of the big players within the contemporary hip hop and r&b scene. Their debut single Love Dat/The Gift which came out earlier this year was well received and got worldwide props from people like Gilles Peterson and Benji B! The album is now completed and will be dropping early 2006. Guests include Little Brother, Eska, Planet Asia, Melo, ADL, Aaron Phiri etc. Watch out, its gonna be a big one!
