简介
Daniel Moir is a Canadian songwriter who resides in Vancouver. He has played at numerous festivals, and has toured extensively in both Canada and the United States. Daniel has toured as an opener for artists like (Grapes of Wrath vocalist/guitarist) Kevin Kane, and also opened locally for artists like Kathleen Edwards and Willis Earl Beal. His songs have seen chart positions on college radio and placements with NBC, with his song "Change the World" (2008 release "the Country and the Sea") appearing in the season finale of the hit American TV series "Mercy". Daniel's sophomore release, Road, has been compared to Eddie Vedder, Rufus Wainwright and even The Beatles. An “alternative folk trip that takes the listener on a quasi-cinematic journey through the great Canadian landscape” (Discorder Magazine), Road was produced by Juno-winning producer Russell Broom (Jan Arden, Sam Roberts), and was co-engineered by David Kean (Audities Foundation). Drawing from personal insight and life experience, Daniel is a “gifted instrumentalist” with an honest talent for songwriting. His third album is anticipated to be released in the fall of 2013, with a dollar out of every album sold being donated to Canadian Environmental group "Ecojustice".
