This collection, as far as instrumental tracks for film & tv, is everything I had inside me from 2008-2010. They're here pretty much in the order I wrote and recorded them, except for "Natural Beauty" and "That's Luck" which I exhumed from my song archives of some 20 years ago, re-recorded as instrumentals, and sprinkled in to the mix amidst the new ones. Strange how that happened. Undertones seems to be off to a good start. Placements on WEtv’s “Amazing Wedding Cakes” (Recharge), TLC’s ”The Lottery Changed My Life” (Unrivaled), NBC’s “The Nate Berkus Show” (Impulse), Bravo’s “Flipping out” (Recharge & Raspberry Acid), Speed Channel’s “Ticket To Ride” (Natural Beauty) and the Disney Channel have already been achieved. I'm hopeful that this is a good sign for success. ~ Joi Veer All proceeds from sales of Undertones, as well as my 3 previous releases via cdbaby.com and private fundraising events thru 2012, have been donated to the Music Department of the Daniel Webster Elementary School of Weehawken, NJ. The objective was to raise money to purchase new Percussion Instruments such as Clave, Cowbells, Moroccas, Guiro, Cabasa, Timbales, Congas, and Bongos. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a new live Latin Jazz percussion ensemble which will accompany the DWS concert choir. These instruments will also be used to teach different styles of music throughout the school year to grades 1 & 2, and introduce Pre-K and Kindergarten to Jazz and the various rhythm instruments during their music classes. A big thanks to all who have contributed to this special fundraising effort.
