Kapland was born as a collaboration between Koldo Uriarte, an established professional musician and producer, and Alexandra Piñeiro Tew, an actress, lyricist and singer, who met while they where touring together with other artists. Shortly after meeting, they realised they had a common interest in producing songs which had a real meaning and were relevant to the world we live in. The band released their debut EP in 2011, encouraged by producer and mix engineer Mikel F. Krutzaga, and with the unconditional help and generosity of Angel Celada (Drums), Joseba Irazoki (guitars) and Iñigo Goldaracena (Bass). They have just released their second album named "Simple You, Simple Me"​. This title was picked from all 11 tracks as it reflects the way this LP was put together by themselves: lyrics, composition, production, arrangements, mix and mastering. Kapland was previously called Tew for 3 years, and started on a 13th of November... the same day they wrote the song "13th of November". From then, they started to write more and more songs... and still many more to come!
