Released in 2007, Halo was written to be a counter point to the previous double album Dark Skies with more direct tracks whilst also keeping the technical aspects of the music such as instrumentals, time changes and deep orchestrations.

The album is bookmarked by two tracks which employ a number of connected lyrical & musical motifs to complete the album. Halo was also designed as an album to be played live, and resulted in a number of live shows in support of the album.
