The Shy Guys announce the release of their debut, self titled CD. Rhythm guitarist Sean Neagle and Lead guitarist Gavin Welch have been playing music together for years. After several member changes, the group finally connected with drummer Eddie Burgard and bassist Nick Sterling. The group took a fresh start with new material and created an album with 11 original tracks that touch on life, love and of course their signature tune about a guy named El Rio with ʻa mustache the likes youʼve never seenʼ. The quartet began playing shows under the name Pilot and was later changed to The Shy Guys. They have an eclectic sound with original music that spans a wide variety of genres. Sean Neagle writes original lyrics and music with influences from Paul McCartney and John Lennon, Jack Johnson and Band of Horses to name a few. They have a good natured outlook as expressed in a line from their new song Beach Bum, ʻweʼre just trying to get by, our intentions are goodʼ.
