简介
J-Func is a producer, songwriter, rapper and singer from the sunny Gold Coast City in Australia. Influenced by 70's funk, 80's synth pop, and 90's rap, J has created his own signature sound that has already led to success. His rap and production on the Kentinos track, "Time Wasting", won the Industry Award for the 2007 National Youth Week Rock It competition. This led to the group performing at many big events including the X-Games and St Kilda Festival in Victoria. In 2011, J-Func's produced and rapped on fellow hip-hop group Aint Nothin's hit 'It Aint Nothin (Dance Version)." and was an integral part on their 2011 album "Rhymes and the Beats" and 2013 albumm "Love, Life and Casual Conversations." Since then, J-Func has been working toward releasing his own material and in 2014 the world will get to hear two releases; "The Prelude Mixtape" and his debut EP "On My Way." "The Prelude Mixtape" is a compilation of solo tracks recorded during the last two years up until the recording sessions for his EP. Stand out tracks include: the uptempo disco-influenced dance track, "I Want You" (which was the last track to be recorded for the Mixtape), the thought-driven RnB based "Happy Life" featuring his brother, The Don and the smooth singing Norm Berryman (who was part of The Kentinos) and lastly the fierce hip-hop track, "No Cooks." These 12 tracks show the Australian MC's versatility in songwriting and production. MDCMusic / J-Func Productions
