With a smooth flow like Snoop Dogg and funky beats like DJ Quik, J-Func is one Australian artist to keep your eye on. J-Func is working hard on his debut release which will be is a mix of hip-hop, dance, funk and soul music. Since his humble beginnings in 2004, J-Func started out as the main producer and rapper for the Kentinos music group who in 2007, won the National Youth Week "Rock It" Industry Award for their song, "Time Wasting." J-Func has performed at big events such as the St Kilda festival, X-Games, K1 Muay Thai Xplosion fights, Waitangi Day celebrations and local clubs around South East Queensland. His main influences are hip-hop artists such as Kendrick Lamar, 2Pac, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre, Funk artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder and George Duke, and finally the King of Pop Michael Jackson. J-Func recent work with the hip-hop / dance music group, Aint Nothin has seen him branch out into different genres of music, which led to his first single, "Let's Make A Party Up." 2013/14 should be big for J-Func who is working on some big things for the Australian and European markets.
