Born and raised in Lawrence, MA. USA. SonChild is the youngest of 4 children. At a very young age his parents knew he was gifted with a special talent. His "Voice". At the time, Only 11 years old, this Puerto Rican/American kid had accomplished more in his life than he ever imagined.... Taking part in a tribute event for the September 11th tradgedy in 2001. This is where it all started. SonChild sang an original song called "To Be A Hero" at a Community event open to the public.. After the response of his performance, his parents decided it was time to take his talent to another level. In 2002, SonChild landed a record deal with Indie label "LawTown Records". That same year, LawTown released SonChild's debut dance single "MERRY-GO-ROUND". Without any idea of where this song was going to go, it took everyone by storm. Even the crew at LawTown Records. "MERRY-GO-ROUND" went on to become a solid dance floor hit in the UK, Germany, Sweden and Belguim. Where he hit the Top 10 Dance Charts peaking at # 3 and holding the spot for 7 consecutive weeks. With a Promotional Tour underway, SonChild was well on his way to Superstardom! Back in the States, LawTown Records started to recieve alot of feedback from fans online and offline. The Media also had a field day with SonChild. First, He was a feature story in Boston Magazine then came the On-Air radio Interview with KISS 108 and the MADDY IN THE MORNING SHOW. There was no sign of it slowing down. The next thing we knew... We were in Miami at SONY MUSIC. A joint production deal was in the works for SonChild between SONY Music & Estefan Enterprise (Owned by Emilio & Gloria Estefan). Due to a disagreement in the royalty rate, the offer was declined by LawTown (Who was also Managing SonChild at the time). In 2003, LawTown Records released a EP called "DiGiTaLIFE" featuring another dance hit "YEAR ROUND VALENTINE", but that was nothing compared to the impact made by "MERRY-GO-ROUND". SonChild says to this day, he'll never forget how it started and where it went. How it all came in snowball effect and melted just as fast. SonChild at only 12 years old was at the top of the world. He promises to get back in gear soon, but needed a vacation from all the fast pace. So he took some time off to do what he wanted to do ...be a Kid. These days, SonChild is with a New record label (Funusual records) and is currently writing and recording his debut full length studio album. The album will be a "Pop" / "Dance" album.
