简介
From the third floor of a run-down old brick house in Hartford Connecticut, to the fields and hedgerows of Surrey, England, to the world class recording studios of New York, the songs of Grayson Hugh's "Blind To Reason" went through several stages of being written, thought about, revised and recorded before being released to the world in their final form on September 1, 1988. In this unique album, the acclaimed singer-songwriter-keyboardist offers you a behind-the-scenes listen to the very first demos of them, recorded in the Winter of 1987 at the Manhattan studio of Hugh's producers Michael Baker and Axel Kroell. Included here is a special bonus track, a song of Grayson's called "Out Of Limbo" that didn't end up on the album. As the original tape masters have long since disappeared, the audio quality derived from the original cassette tapes is a bit rough, hence the discount price. But the feelings of the songs comes across loud and clear, along with Grayson Hugh's trademark soulful singing, at times silky smooth and other times growling. Due to many of his fans expressing interest in hearing some of his demos, Grayson decided to release these. Here then, from the late 80's, with many of that decade's characteristic drum and synth sounds, are the first demos of Grayson Hugh's "Blind To Reason"!
