Sifting raises their fans to the highest musical level; it’s a unique journey within its style, since this band can’t be defined by a specific rock genre. Eduardo Gil sought to sift through the best rock genres, in order to create the best musical experience. By the year 2008, after going through a really tough personal experience, caused by the tragic loss of his mother in a plane crash, he sets his mind into retaking his lifetime musical project called SIFTING, carving within its melody and lyrics all of his feelings. His main challenge was to debut and triumph in Venezuela, a spanish speaking country, in a band which lyrics are performed in english, but now the band is number 1 on the ReverbNation Rock charts for Caracas, Venezuela; in 2011 the famous Metalcore band, Bullet For My Valentine, chose SIFTING as the national band to open and support their concert in Venezuela; last year toured along with Zapato 3, the greatest rock band from the 80’s in the country; and they also performed alongside Viniloversus winners of the Latin Grammy Award. Once this challenge was overcome, SIFTING introduces itself, a band formed by the best musical talent in Venezuela and with an innovative and rather complex proposal, welcome to our journey.

The band is formed by: Rubén Limas in the drums, sponsored by DDRUM and Vic Firth, whom at the age of 11 starts his first percussion strokes, with a musical background in many bands like Banda Gillman (Metal assembly of Venezuela) and Master Gerry Weil; shared stage with importantly recognized artists such as Uriah Heep, Gamma Ray, Overkill, Brujería, The Iron Maidens, among others. Luis Fernando Farías, Lead guitar, whom at the age of 13 starts his first steps in the music world, self-taught and moves on his musical studies, which is interrupted in the 2007, suffering a terrible accident where he almost lost his life and remained handicapped for over a year, to continue his passion for the music, after his physical recovery he finds in SIFTING the reason to continue his career. Victor Ladines, in the bass, whose musical studies commenced at the age of 15, is one of the best bass players in town. Eduardo Gil, guitarist, vocals, composer and arranger of all the instruments within SIFTING, whose musical studies date from the age of 6, taking superior musical studies at IUDEM.

Last year, Sifting got a news letter notifying them that executives of the famous line-up of games ROCK BAND® had approved the single “All The Hated” to be released in ROCK BAND BLITZ®, and downloadable in ROCK BAND NETWORK for the main gaming consoles worldwide. Since 2012, the first album of the band, which production is independent, is already available on the shelves of all the record stores in Venezuela, also in the musical web store Apple iTUNES and Amazon.com as well.
