Sifting is a rock band originally from Caracas, Venezuela, now based in Hollywood, California. It’s formed by Eduardo O Gil on vocals & guitars, Chris Eklund on Lead guitar, Brady Tait on bass and Alejandro Martinez on drums. Sifting offers a deeply personal rock sound combined with melodic vocals, progressive breaks and intricate guitar and vocal harmonies. Recording of the band’s first songs began in 2011 around the same time Bullet for My Valentine chose them to open a concert in Caracas, Venezuela, becoming a reference in metal music in their hometown. The single “All the Hated” debuted that year and was released on the famous line-up of games ROCK BAND® for the main gaming consoles worldwide. Their first album, also called "All The Hated", was released in 2013 as Eduardo relocated to Los Angeles and traded members.

Sifting has performed at the “Heart of Texas Rockfest” during SXSW; toured with Zapato 3, Venezuela’s most influential 80’s rock band; played with Viniloversus, winners of a Latin Grammy in 2013; and toured their native country with the Argentinian band D-MENTE and the Latin American legend Andrés Giménez, leader of “A.N.I.M.A.L.,” which holds two MTV awards.
