Glitchty chamber-pop collides with americana, hard rock, surf and majestic quirk. Arrangements include loads of Sam's over-the-top guitarmonies, thick vocal and synth arragements and the questionable use of a homemade shaker. Invincible Czars' Leila Henley and Phil Davidson legitimize up this madness with elegant sax and violin respectively, while guest co-arrangers Andy Nolte (Mostly Dead) and Mohadev (Stop Motion Orchestra) pile on to the layer-party. An agile pulse of Greg Yancey's bass (Opposite Day) and a who's who of prog drummers: Cameron Page, Eric Brown, Pat Kennedy and Chuch Fisher refuses to be buried beneath the sparkle.
