The first six tracks of this digital release were recorded live in 2000 at Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Camel Toe had played at the venue several times before this recording was made, when JP, Doug, and Oscar took the stage just before midnight. Knowing they would be recording that night, Oscar and Doug were a bit nervous and somewhat ramped up, but JP was as cool and relaxed as always. JP and Doug still remark about how fast they played some of these songs, not just this night in Ft. Lauderdale, but at all of the shows they performed as Camel Toe in this time period. Culture Room had a fantastic crowd that night in 2000, cheering on the band through their set of blazers, as well as the blues-fused trip trancer Bitsy's Snake Dance. Also included here are two tracks recorded a year later during the Greenhouse sessions. Here you'll get a take on Shank, later cut on Camel Toe's Pelada CD. Another funky nugget, Funk 9, was just re-cut by the band in 2015 under the title Yo Quiero Dinero on their Funk-a-Licious CD. Which version do you like the best? Maybe you'll like them equally as well, for different reasons. In any case, enjoy the music!!
