This 1998 debut release from South Florida's best funk-rock trio was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Natural Sound recording studios in Miami, Florida. The eight tracks on this debut release showcase JP's and Doug's vision for a blend of funk and rock, super tight execution of the songs' riffs and transitions, and rounded out by whacked lyrical content and song subjects. These songs feature Doug White on vocals, which is the way Camel Toe started out. The band would later transition to JP Ferris handling most of the vocal work, moving the band toward a decidedly funk-oriented style. Rounding out the original trio of musicians is Oscar Galvao from Brazil who plays drums. What you hear on these songs is how they were performed live at clubs and parties in the South Florida area, complete with sound effects that were triggered from a phrase sampler. (Actually, prior to acquiring the phrase sampler, the sound effects were played through a Radio Shack cassette player that JP glued a toothpaste cap to the pause button and released and engaged the tape with his Big Toe). A couple of these songs are still played at Camel Toe shows today, some 17 years later!! Enjoy the music!
