Fun fun fun ..........what can i say. I just love up tempo songs, full of rythym. So much energy goes into it. This has been one of my most enjoyable projects. The lyrics are fun , quirkey, mischievious. The characters portrayed are bold and exciting full of themselves. Thanks to my writing partner Wec Easterlin for his ideas and lyrics that connect with my ideas to create these tunes. I appreciate Wec so much. And then my producer Jeff Zona I could go on and on about his muscal ability ................ the style , the professionalism. And all the musicians who participated in this project all did such a wonderful job. Devil behind the wheel - southern bluesy and rockin comtemporary country about a mishchieviously playful girl wanting to reveal the power under the hood of her mustang (pony) in a devilish fun sort of way with some great effects in the song from engines roaring to squealing tires and giggling at the end and great acoustics .................. No more fools - up tempo texas swingin traditional country with a little jazz licks thrown in from the fiddle on the edge to the piano pounding to the beat and the upright acoustic bass carrying the way. The girl in this song has had enough. She has been used for the last time. Now its her turn to call the shots ...........and has her own pickup truck to drive around. So there you have it the title of this project Pickups & Ponies. I hope all my music fans enjoy this new release so " Bye Y'all " just temporarily ...............Until the next ONE !!!!!!!
