简介

“Ain’t Going My Way” is Harrison’s first album. Aimed towards old school dirty blues, Harrison steered clear of any foot pedals or modern computer effects. Apart from his three originals, he chose obscure songs that showcase his incredible guitar solos in which he creates sounds the old fashioned natural way. Enhancing his performance are two talented musicians, Cody Mehrman, and Sabine Ellison playing the drums and the bass guitar. The sounds from these three artists were recorded on tape, the old fashioned way, giving it a raw sound so true to the blues. Raised with one sibling and single mother, he was the only one of his family to take an interest in and excel in music. Harrison first picked up a guitar at the age of fourteen, quickly took a liking to the blues, and by eighteen was playing gigs across 6th street. Playing guitar for local bands such as Princess and the ATX Boys, Travis Green and the Late Bloomers, Marcus Tharpe and the Southside Ramblers, and Jennifer B and the Groove Kings, he decided to pick up a microphone and start fronting his own shows. Harrison's unique style of "less is more" almost exclusively old school playing builds up to screaming bends and moaning crying licks that touch the soul. This combined with his filthy and swampy delta slide playing, harmonica blowing, and singing has made him a force to be reckoned with, and asks the question; did those blues just come out of that white kid!? Harrison owes his discovery and love for the blues to his former guitar instructor and mentor Tony Redman, and draws influence from legends such as early Freddie King, B.B. King, Hound Dog Taylor, Elmore James, Lightnin' Hopkins, Buddy Guy, Corey Harris, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Doyle Bramhall II, and modern Austin musicians like Zapata, Gary Clark Jr., Mike Keller, and Johnny Moeller. Harrison currently resides in south Austin, where he is working on new sounds from the roots.
